Visiting Angels of Akron started their local office in July 1999 by Jodi Wood RN. Jodi is a graduate of Kent State University's nursing program and worked at Summa Health System for 13 years before starting her business in the Ellet area.

She employs over 100 caregivers who all work under her direct supervision.  Many of our caregivers have worked with us for years servicing our clients. You'll have the opportunity to interview any caregiver we refer to you. You'll only accept a caregiver that you feel totally comfortable with. At Visiting Angels, character matters in our caregivers!    If there are any questions we are available to talk to you 24/7.

Her Visiting Angels office is a part of a nationwide network of homecare agencies nationwide that was started in the early 1990's in Baltimore, Maryland.
